Impact of work environment and organisation commitment with employee retention in ceramic industries in India

Abstract

Due to the prevailing trend of higher expectations of quality products from customers, the manufacturing ceramic industries have to implement modern and updated technology and sophisticated machines for their survival. For operations, they need skilled and capable employees. As the availability of those employees is limited, satisfaction of those employees becomes essential for their retention. Hence, organisation has to provide apart from higher remuneration other factors also which satisfy employees. This paper deals with non-monetary variable work environment and organisational commitment and their impact on employee retention in ceramic industries in India. Statistical tools are used for analysis. It is concluded that work environment and organisation commitment are having significant impact on employee retention.
