In the face of pressing environmental challenges, green growth as a new growth paradigm has been intensifying in recent years. In the wake of Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) held in Paris in 2015, the countries that took part have to gradually implement greener changes in their economies. Therefore, green growth is now imperative in light of the current climate change scenario. This environmental consciousness of the global community is leading to the emergence of green business practices. Green business practices encourage business activities which are favorable for the environment and help in achieving environmental effectiveness. The main objective of the paper is to demonstrate the growing importance of green growth and green business practices. Accordingly, the study analyzes how Indian companies are taking green business agenda forward to grab the opportunities that lie ahead for green growth.
