Estimation of the uncertainty due to the some of MCDM models outcome using hurwicz's criterion

There is no doubt that the role of Decision Makers (DMs) preferences and decision-making models and their effect on the decision is not questionable. In the literature, uncertainties due to both aforementioned factors are discussed a lot. In this article, another type of uncertainty in the Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) process is considered. Since, in this study, using the Hurwicz's criterion, we have defined the uncertainty due to the MCDM model outcome using three models of MCDM (particularly, TOPSIS, AHP and PROMETHEE II). So, we proposed an empirically testable Hurwicz-based index, in which the uncertainty due to the MCDM model outcome considered into pessimistic, neutral and optimistic sets. Then, the different MCDM method behaviors (into relative and absolute form) are examined. The results indicated that, the solution provided by TOPSIS is more optimistic than others.
