Traditionally, the supplier evaluation/selection problem is introduced as Multi-7-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem affected by several conflicting factors (that is, price, quality and so on). On the other side, in recent years, behavioral aspects and its application to MCDM context have been a major issue and received a large attention fro11-m scholars. A question rises up here is “how to consider these behavioral factors when developing a new MCDM models? In response to this question, Wang (Wang, 2007; 2008) designed a new MCDM model that can incorporate the behavioral notion of anticipated regret and anticipated rejoicing systematically in the MCDM modeling framework. In this paper, we use Wang’s method for solving a supplier selection problem in a supply chain context, but we change the procedure of calculating the regret and rejoicing values (from pairwise comparison model) to the new proposed concordance- and discordance-based method. As a result, the alternative with high (low) regret (rejoicing) gets a lower score and vice-versa. Finally, a comparative analysis is performed, and results indicate that behavioral aspect considerations influence supplier evaluation/selection decisions.
