The youth of tribal communities in India hold a significant position within the nation’s social, cultural, and economic landscape. Individuals aged 18 to 35 represent a substantial segment of the population, yet they remain one of the most marginalized groups in society. This study seeks to explore the present conditions surrounding the training and development of tribal youth in India. It examines the various obstacles that tribal communities encounter in accessing quality training programs offered through different Government of India schemes and initiatives. A review of several statistical datasets, policy documents, and existing research is conducted to provide insights for this analysis. The study assesses the effectiveness of various schemes and provisions in place. Furthermore, the paper posits that improving access to training and development programs for tribal youth is essential not only for their socioeconomic empowerment, skill enhancement, and financial literacy but also for the preservation of traditions, the promotion of cultural awareness, and the strengthening of community cohesion.
