IKS is a vast collection of historical information, including astronomy, mathematics, languages, logic, and computing techniques that have influenced modern scientific disciplines. With an emphasis on AI, the paper shows the interdisciplinary use of IKS in computer science. By contrasting contemporary computing paradigms with traditional Indian computational methods, we show how IKS can aid in the creation of new technologies. From an Indian epistemological standpoint, the study also examines the ethical and philosophical facets of computers. In the era of digitization, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) with traditional knowledge systems presents a unique solution to preserving and advancing cultural heritage. India, with its unique treasure of traditional knowledge spanning various sectors including medicine, agriculture, and art, is at the peak of this intriguing intersection. NEP 2020 of India has set a standard for merging IKS into contemporary education with the objective of promoting and revitalizing cultural knowledge incorporation with contemporary learning. This method demonstrates a huge significance of classical knowledge in solving present-day challenges and improving academic results. AI may be very important for preserving knowledge. We can use it to build databases and repositories to ensure the survival of traditional knowledge, farming practices, and medical practices for the next generation.
