Mobile ad hoc network is a set of mobile nodes connecting with each other without physical infrastructure and centralized computing. The routing protocols are used to find the proper route between the nodes to establish the communication link between the mobile nodes in the network. The routing protocols are to establish correct and efficient route between the mobile nodes so that the file may be transferred to the destination node in a timely manner. Tliis paper analyzes the Dynamic Source Routing protocols for mobile ad hoc network and evaluates the performance on different parameters. In the conclusion it provides simulation result of DSR performed on network simulator ns2 and theoretical point of view.
