Indian Economic Review (1998–2002): A bibliometric study

“Indian Economic Review” published by Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi has played a key role in the dissemination of fundamental and applied knowledge of Economics since 1952. This paper finds out the result of a bibliometric study covered in the issues of Indian Economic Review during 1998–2002. It examines authorship pattern, the degree of collaboration among authors and geographical distribution of the authors. It analyses 1653 citations appended to 68 research articles. The findings reveal that 43.25% citations were from books and 52.69% from journals. The authorship pattern study reveals that highest number of citations are from single author. The degree of collaboration in “Indian Economic Review” is 0.33 and it gradually decreases during the study period. Geographical distribution of the authors reveals that most of the contributors are from India with 48 authors (52.17%).
