Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can create, disseminate, store, bring value and manage information in a way that few could have imagined. Technological change is the major contributor to the growth and development of the information society; e-learning, e-libraries, e-health, e-governance, etc. have become pillars of the information society.

The present study briefly describes the various endeavours of the government and non government organizations in Karnataka state by creating E- initiatives projects to bridge the digital divide.
