Studies the acknowledgements incorporated in research papers on electronics and related fields appearing during 2008–2012 in IETE Technical Review, and IETE Journal of Research, official publications of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE). Results show that nearly 35% articles contains acknowledgements; on average acknowledgement per articles is 2.2; mostly acknowledgements relates to financial support. Only 21% of acknowledgements address to the PIC [Peer Interactive Communication], and two persons are acknowledged two times. The number of articles with acknowledgements is higher in IETE Technical Review compared to IETE Journal of Research. The number of PIC acknowledgements in electronics research is very low compared to other journals. Forty-two percent articles acknowledge one addressee and 1% articles acknowledges up to ten addressees at a time.
