Abstract

Perception is the organization, identification, and interpretation of sensory information in order to represent and understand the environment. All perception includes signals from the nervous system, which result from the physical or chemical stimulation of the senses. Generally, customer perception is affected by advertising, reviews, social media, personal experiences, public relations and other channels.

This paper seeks to discuss the need to understand consumer perceptions in order to stress reliever packaged food product and to achieve the desired position in the minds of consumers in Pune City.

The study focused on various factors like 1) the perception on stress reliever packaged food products 2) The reason for consuming stress reliever packaged food products (3) To identify the users profile of stress reliever packaged food products. The number of samples collected by the 150 consumers of stress reliever packaged food products. The study was conducted in Pune city. Structured questionnaire were used to collect data.

Consumers like to eat a packaged foods that relieves stress when they are distressed. In reviews researchers has concluded that understanding consumption of consumers' food products and their determinants is one of the key factors to successful negotiation for market orientation, development and market opportunities. From January 2008 to July 2018, a total of 12,996 products were launched worldwide with functional claim "Brain Health and Nervous System". The highest number of launches has been in India (1,732 products), Vietnam (1,431) and China (1,147).
