Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between leadership style and the power source of coaches in Major League Soccer in season 2014–2015 from the perspective of players. In this regard, major players in the Premier League teams were selected as study population. 163 sample obtained based on Morgan table between 280 people. In this study for leadership styles used Hersey and Blanchard questionnaire (12 questions) and for power supply used Shraykhym and Henkin questionnaire (20 questions). The reliability value obtain 0.91. The questionnaire was distributed in the statistical community and 149 questionnaires were returned that were analyzed. Based on the results obtained from the analysis of data Delegating, incentive and telling leadership styles had significant effect on coaches power supply But participating leadership style has no significant impact on power supply coaches. Delegating Style have significant relationship with all aspects of a coaches power sources except Referent power. Incentive style has no significant effect on coaches reward power. telling style has no significant relationship with Legitimate power and Referent power.
