Teaching Based on Student's Needs

The I-five unit plan is a simple, adaptable model of the human learning cycle modified to appeal to the five basics needs, which provide the foundation for intrinsic motivation and it is based on accepted ideas regarding the human learning cycle. The human learning cycle can be seen to have four phases: Introduction, Instruction, Integration, and implementation. The fifth I, Involvement refer to the relationships that surround the student's answer (e.g. ashes in WALLY test) is introduced to gain, integrate and implement his new knowledge or skills. There are two general categories of involvement: personal involvement and role involvement. Personal involvement refers to the positive, accepting relationships that faculties encourage between and among themselves and their students. Role involvement refers to the clarification of the responsibilities within the learning environment. The goal of this study is to suggest the strategies of students’ involvement for appealing their basic needs, increasing trusted-based relationships and improving the quality learning. Some of these strategies can be used in beginning of the term for creating the clear expectations and roles and class warm environment, while you can use many strategies throughout the year to build and maintain the involvement.
