Abstract

A study was conducted on six different riverine fish species to observe sexual dimorphism based on morphological characters. Some characters such as shape of dorsal fin, type of serration in dorsal spine, pectoral pads, size and type of tubercles, shape of anal aperture and thickening of lips were documented for these fish to identify male and females that would serve as a tool for sexual dimorphism among different fish species.
