Abstract

The use of ultrasonic imaging technique for diagnostic purpose in veterinary medicine and animal science has lagged far behind their use in human medicine but has recently seen increased application in domestic animal reproduction. Ultrasonography has helped tremendously in the diagnosis and differentiation of various genital pathologies. The review briefly describes ultrasound and its transrectal use for diagnosis and differentiation of genital tract abnormalities in bovines.
