A 3-month-old Bhakarwal kid was presented with matting of the periocular area and blepharospasm of the left eye. A grass awn penetrating the superior palpebral conjunctiva was noticed. Conjunctivitis along with mild corneal oedema had developed in the affected eye. The plant material was removed under topical proparacaine anaesthesia. Postoperatively, topical application of ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone (Ciplox D eye drops, tid) was prescribed for seven days. Complete resolution of the eye lesion occurred by day 11.
