Abstract

The field experiment, “Resource conservation through land configuration and fertilizer management in soybean (Glycine max L.) under protective irrigation” was carried out at Post Graduate Instructional Farm, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (Maharashtra) during kharif season of 2013. The main plot treatment comprises of four land configuration viz., flat bed (L1),tied ridges and furrow (L2) ,ridges and furrow (L3) and BBF 2 rows (L4) and the subplot treatment comprises of three fertilizer management viz., application of 100 % GRDF based on AST, 75 % GRDF based on AST and 50 % GRDF based on AST. On the basis of results obtained, it was concluded that soybean cultivated on ridges and furrow with 100 per cent fertility management recorded highest growth and yield contributing characters and increases yield than the other practices under study.
