A study on personal profile of the apple growers specifically in 5 districts of Kashmir Valley were KVK’s are functional was carried out in 2016-18. A sample of 410 apple growers by proportionate allocation method was taken from 5 districts in Kashmir Valley for collecting the primary data with the help of a well-structured interview schedule. The study revealed that majority of the respondents were literate with middle age category of (43-50 years), possessing a land holding of above 2 hectares having medium level of mass media exposure and more frequency of source of information with the development department. Majority of the respondents were dependent on Horticulture for their livelihood.
