Abstract

Studies were carried out at Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Wadura, Sopore, SKUAST-K, during the year, 2016–2017. Regression analysis revealed that plant morphological characters under evaluation had an overall 97.6 and 94.8 per cent contribution towards H. armigera infestation on number and weight basis, respectively. Stem diameter had a maximum individual effect of 16.1 per cent on number and 17.7 per cent on weight basis towards fruit borer infestation. Though, number of locules per fruit had a minimum effect on H. armigera infestation on number basis whereas fruit diameter had least effect on fruit infestation.
