This study investigates the effectiveness of various concentrations of Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) on the rooting of Lavandula officinalis stem cuttings, an experiment was carried out at Faculty of Forestry, Benhama-Watlar, Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Terminal cuttings (8–10 cm) of Lavender with intact vegetative tops were subjected to 10 different IBA concentrations (200-2000ppm) together with control to study its effect on rooting percentage, root number per cutting, and length of longest root. The results reveal that maximum values for rooting percentage (91.66%), number of primary and secondary roots per cuttings (8.50 and 76.25) respectively, and length of longest root (24.0 cm) was noted when Lavandula officinalis cuttings were treated with IBA@2000ppm. So a significant effect of IBA on rooting of Lavandula officinalis stem cuttings was ascertained
