The study was conducted on n=24 clinically healthy rabbits divided into 4 equal groups to study the influence of duration of application of the static magnetic field (SMF) therapy on induced radial fracture healing. Two block-shaped static magnets each of 1000 Gauss were applied at the fracture site, medially and laterally. The SMF for a period of 2, 4 and 6 hours was applied on a daily basis for a period of 8 weeks in the animals of Groups A, B and C, respectively. Animals of group D were not exposed to the any SMF and served as the control. Radiographic, histopathological and alkaline phosphatase activity estimation indicated superior healing in the animals of group C followed by Group B and A
