Soil Test Crop Response (STCR) correlation studies involving the Integrated Plant Nutrition System (IPNS) for nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K)in Brown Sarson (Brassica rapa L.) on Alfisols in Srinagar, Kashmir, were conducted following Ramamoorthy’s ‘inductive cum targeted yield model’. A marked fertility gradient for soil available N, P, and K was established. Four levels of N, P, and K fertilizers, along with three levels of farmyard manure (FYM), were randomized in three fertility strips, each comprising twenty-four plots. Soil and plant analysis data were utilized to compute the basic parameters required for developing nutrient prescription equations. The nutrient requirements for producing one quintal of Brown Sarson seed yield were determined to be 5.91 kg of N, 3.23 kg of P, and 5.55 kg of K. The soil available pool contributed 14.82%, 76.26%, and 19.67% of the total N, P, and K uptake, respectively. Contributions from applied fertilizers were 37.51%, 114.76%, and 166.24%, while contributions from applied FYM were 8.37%, 33.04%, and 18.78% of total N, P, and K uptake, respectively.
