In every organization there is presence of coterie. These are small groups who are in a position to influence the decisions of top management. Unfortunately most of the times these groups actions are self centric. These people are always very decided as to what they wish and they do not waste their energies in considering the good for others. This affects the moral and productivity of the employee of the organization at large. The present paper is an attempt to understand the impact on the moral and productivity of the employees when these group actively influence the decision making process regarding reward, promotion and welfare of the employee etc. For this purpose we had targeted 250 employees working in private sector in the capital region of Bhubaneswar, however 176 responses received in all. This includes 72 female employees and rests are male employees. For the purpose of data analysis simple percentage method used to reach more and more readers.
