Street vendors are an integral part of urban economies around the world, offering easy access to a wide range of goods and services in public spaces. They sell everything from fresh vegetables to prepared foods, from building materials to garments and crafts, from consumer electronics to auto repairs. Cashless economy is proposed plan of our Indian Government. Hence digital literacy for street vendors is very essential for doing their business. Regarding this the Government can educate street vendors and create awareness. In this paper we present the challenges and opportunities for street vendors in cashless economy. They are the main distribution channel for a large variety of products of daily consumption like fruits, vegetables, readymade garments, shoes, household gadgets, toys, stationery, newspapers, and magazines and so on. A very important factor in the running of such an economy is the confidence that the people‘s money is safe in banks. Also, going cashless is much more convenient. Special group of person may be appointed by the Government to educate street vendors regarding digital literacy. The joint efforts of all Government departments can make this digital economy successful among street vendors. Women vendors earn less, on average, than men vendors: their earnings range from 40 to 60 rupees per day. The lack of toilets has an adverse effect on women‘s health and many suffer from urinary track infections and kidney ailments.
