Abstract
Prevalence and pathology of fasciolosis due to Fasciola gigantica in goats of Kanpur region were reported. On post-mortem examination of 240 livers and same number of faecal samples from slaughtered goats during the period of March, 2006 to Feb., 2007, a total of 15 (6.25%) goats were found infected with Fasciola gigantica on examination of faecal samples. Out of these 12(5%) livers were found pathologically changed and many lesions were observed on the surface. Grossly, the livers were hard, firm and revealed greyish-white discolouration on the surface.
