Abstract

The seasonal incidence of Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata on brinjal was studied at experimental farm of AMU, Aligarh during Feb. to April 2009. Initial incidence of the beetle was noticed on the 3rd week of January. The brinjal hadda beetle population reached the peak in the 3rd week of February. Decreasing trend in population was observed from Feb. to April 2009. The beetle incidence showed negative correlation with maximum and minimum temperature, and was positively correlated with minimum and maximum relative humidity.
