Relative performance of most widely used relatively eco-friendly insecticides against podfly was evaluated. It was found that two sprays of dimethoate, profenophos and quinalphos were superior. Maximum yield (1660 to 2046 kg/ha) and minimum grain damage (13.5 to 21.6%) was recorded in these treatments. The other treatments also showed a significant reduction in grain damage and increase in grain yield as compared to untreated check (38.4 to 44.8).
