This communications deals with the descriptions, latin diagnosis and illustrations of three hitherto undesribed species of fungus genus Alternaria Ness. viz.; A. bauhiniae sp. nov., A. bahraichensis sp. nov. and A. ichnocarpicola sp. nov. collected on living leaves of Bauhinia vahlii (Fabaceae), Sagittaria sagittifolia (Alismaceae) and Ichnocarpus frutiscens (Apocynaceae) respectively from north-westren Tarai forests of Uttar Pradesh, India.
