This study was carried out to determined the effectiveness of different concentrations of all the bacterial preparations of B.thuringiensis like Dipel, Thuricide HP, Bactospeine against the development of test insect Bihar hairy caterpillar i.e. D. obliqua. The biocontrol agents such as Bacillus thuringiensis used for controlling Lepidopteran, coleopteran and dipteran pests. These insecticides are considered safe to the environment and natural enemies. It is evident from the result of the experiments that lethal concentration of dipel had marked effect on the larval development and it is also significant that the surviving larvae of D. oblique were shorter in length, and lighter in weight when compared with control.
