Manipulation of sowing dates and inter-rows spacing an eco friendly management of mungbean (Vigna radiata) web blight

The effect of time of sowing and row spacing on web blight severity and grain yield of mungbean was determined for two consecutive years. The results reveal that highest disease severity in early sown plants (July 1^st and July 16^th) where as least disease severity was recorded on late sown crop (16^th August). However, maximum grain yield and comparatively lower disease was recorded in plants sown on August 1^st as compared to those which were sown July 1^st and July 16^th respectively. Increase row spacing lowered the disease severity in both the crop seasons. Comparatively less disease severity (36.6%) and maximum grain yield (672.12 kg/ha) was recorded at the inter row spacing of 50x15 cm.
