Field screening of 121 moth bean accessions for YMV resistance revealed sixty-four resistant genotypes, one moderately resistant and remaining all susceptible in summer whereas, only 57 entries showed resistance in Kharif 2008. MH 43, resistant line identified from germplasm screening was crossed with GMO 25, YMV susceptible line. The F1 and F2 progenies were phenotyped for YMV-reaction under natural conditions. A monogenic dominant control of YMV-resistance has been revealed from the F2 segregation ratio of 3:1 (resistant: susceptible).
