Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during rabi at experimental station of department of Vegetable Science, NDUA&T, Faizabad, Uattar Pradesh. Thirty-one genotypes of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) were assessed for a mean performance of growth and yield components. Avery wide range of variation in mean performance of genotypes was observed for all the characters under study. The comparison of mean performance of thirty one genotypes for ten traits, revealed existence of very high level of variability in the germplasm collection. Selection of these characters would be effective for obtaining high yielding genotype by additive gene effect.
