Abstract

Field experiments were carried out to evaluate the efficacy of newer chemicals molecules and bio rationales against bollworm during 2004–06. The results revealed that. spinosad 45SC @ 75gai/ha in lowest square damage, shedding of reproductives and boll damage followed by Indoxacarb 14.5 SC, emmamectin benzoate 5SG and Btk. The seed cotton yield was higher in spinosad 45SC than rest of the treatments. Considering over all effectiveness, yield, net return and cost benefit ratio insecticides spinosad 45 SC, Indoxacarb 14.5 SC, Emamectin benzoate 5SG and BtK registered their economic feasibility in cotton crop.
