Hyacinth wide growth in fresh water lakes and river beds is proving an act of causing harm and damage to fishing, rowing and removing and destroying O2 from the water bodies. Thus it interferes in water utilization. Due to its threatening situation, weed growth has to be controlled by different methods. The paper presents the methodology to control the growth of water hyacinth by different methods like manual pulling, harvesting and biological control.
