In the present investigation 52 onion genotypes were tested at Main Agricultural Research Station (MARS) Dharwad during kharif 2011–12. None of them were found immune, while three genotypes shown resistant reaction, four were found moderately resistant with grade scale of 2 infection ranged from 11–20%. However, nine genotypes were moderately susceptible with 21–40% infection and 11 genotypes were found susceptible with leaf area infection ranged from (41%-60%) and the remaining 23 genotypes were highly susceptible.Ranebennur genotype not only showed resistance to twister disease but also gave maximum yield of 40.9 q/ha with 9.67 per cent TSS.
