Abstract

Among the fungal diseases, Fusarial wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri (Padwick) synd & Hans (1940), is wide spread and also caused serious threat to chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) cultivation in Saurashtra region of Gujarat state.Different concentrations of non-systemic insecticides weretested to find out their effect to inhibit the growth of test fungusin vitro. Among differentnon-systemic insecticide tried, cent per cent growth inhibition of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri was recorded under all the concentrations of profenofos. This was followed by chlorpyriphos (77.81%) and endosulfan (71.84%).
