An experiment was conducted in kharif 2008 and 2009 in high fertilizer condition in 23 semi-spreading and spreading type varieties of groundnut at R.B.S College Bichpuri Agra, to know character association of yield and yield contributing characters in groundnut, to estimate the genotypic and phenotypic correlation coefficients. Pod yield per plant was positively correlated with 100 pod weight, 100 kernel weight, days to maturity and days to 50% flowering at phenotypic and genotypic level in both the years. In general genotypic correlation coefficients were higher than phenotypic correlation indicating strong inherent association among yield & its contributing characters i.e. 100 pod weight and 100 kernel weight.
