Inter-generation correlation studies by using parent off spring regression helps in estimating the extent of transferring the genetic potentials of the character from one generation to other generation. In the present investigation, F2 population of rice genotypes derived from the cross Jyothi X BR 2655 planted during kharif, 2011 at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, V.C Farm, Mandya, Karnataka, to access Intergeneration correlation and narrow-sense heritability estimation in Rice. Intergeneration correlation coefficients between F2 and F3 were positive and significant for almost all the characters except for plant height and days to fifty per cent flowering. Therefore, the performance of the plants in F2 generation is a reliable indicator of the performance of their progeny in subsequent generations.
