Simple statistical techniques like frequency, percentage and coefficient of correlation were used for analysis of the data. Majority of the respondents had low (40.83%) level use of documentary sources of information in those books (88.33%) and dictionary (72.50%) was used most frequently. Incase of non-documentary sources of information, had medium (57.5%) level of use in those atlas/maps (71.67%) and globe (43.33%) were used most frequently by the respondents. From the correlation coefficient analysis, it was seen that out of four independent variables gender, family annual income, social participation and achievement motivation had positive significant effect on use of information sources. Major problem faced by the respondents was lesser availability of information sources given rank first followed by second rankto tendency of students to use lecture notes only.
