Abstract

The experiment conducted during 2011–2012 on effect of organic manures on yield and quality of banana cv. Grand Naine, revealed that response of organic manures was significant for all the quality parameters. Significantly maximum values for quality parameters were recorded by the plants receiving FYM 10 kg/pl + Neem cake 1.25 kg/pl + Vermicompost 5 kg/pl + Wood ash 3.75kg/pl in the treatment while, minimum values in the plants with N0 + in the T2 P0+ K0 treatment T5. The treatment T13: 175:105:220 g NPK/pl recorded significantly maximum (81.15 t/ha) yield followed by T11 (74.79 t/ha), while it was minimuminN0 + K0 in the P0 + treatment T5 (51.09 t/ha).
