Abstract

The experiment was conducted on Efficacy of some new insecticides such as fipronil 5 SC(0.01%), spinosad 45 SC (0.009%), acetamiprid 20 SP (0.004%), dimethoate 30 EC (0.03%), clothianidin 50 WDG (0.01%), Bt (Biolep) (1%), imidocloprid 17.8 SL (0.004%), endosulfan 35 EC (0.07%), thiamethoxam 25 WG (0.005%) against DBM, (P. xylostella) of Cauliflower and cabbage. Among the insecticides, Spinosad @ 0.009% and Bt @ 1%, spray were proved to be very effective against P. xylostella after 7 days of 1st spraying on cauliflower and cabbage which provided 79.17 and 76.39 and 78.98 and 77.53, per cent reduction over control, respectively. After 15 days of 1st spraying on cauliflower and cabbage, spinosad @ 0.009% and fipronil @ 0.01% per cent were effective as 72.77 and 71.72 and 73.03, 70.22 per cent reduction in larvae of DBM. During Second spray on cauliflower and cabbage spraying of spinosad @ 0.009%, Bt @ 1% and fipronil @ 0.01% gave 73.19, 71.06 and 70.63 and 73.89, 73.45 and 72.56 per cent reduction in larval population of DBM, respectively. After 15 days of 2nd spraying on cauliflower and cabbage, spinosad @ 0.009%, Bt @ 1% and fipronil @ 0.01% were effective treatments with 71.0, 69.51 and 68.77 and 70.57, 70.13, 69.02, per cent reduction over control, respectively.
