A field study to determine the feasibility of wheat based mustard intercropping system was carried outat Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, SHAITS, Allahabad during 200910 and 2010–11. The treatments were sole wheat, sole mustard and intercropping of wheat + mustard row ratio 4:1, 8:2 & 12:3 and fertility levels of 100:100, 100:75, 100:50 and 100:25%. The results revealed that various growth and yield components were significantly influenced by different intercropping system, where wheat + mustard row ratio (8:2) produced the highest wheat yield (45.3q/ha) among intercropping treatments. Similarly, net income, cost benefit ratio and land equivalent ratio (LER) were also higher at Rs. 51694.63, 2.16 and 1.75 respectively.
