Abstract

An investigation was carried out on effect of spacing, bulb size and plant growth regulators in tuberose at Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam during 2012–2014. The results of the study indicated that the bigger sized bulb (4.0–4.5 cm diameter) planted at wider spacing (40 x 20 cm) sprayed with GA3 at 200 ppm was found to be the best for achieving higher growth, flowering characters and for higher flower yield in closer spacing (30 x 20 cm) with their combination of tuberose.
