Aonla (Emblica officinalis L. Gaertn) is an important indigenous emerging fruit crop owing to its hardiness and ability to withstand adverse soil and climatic conditions. The fruit is highly nutritive for human consumption. It is the richest source of vitamin C among the fruits next to Barbados cherry and also useful for general improvement of health and medicinal purpose. The study was to examine the influence of drip fertigation on growth parameters in aonla. The experiments were set up in factorial randomized block design with eighteen treatment combinations. The experiments were conducted during the year 2011–13. The investigation indicated that the plant height and plant canopy spread in (N/S and E/W) directions was greatly affected by different treatments. However, the significant effects of interaction parameters were found on plant height, trunk girth and canopy spread in (N/S and E/W) directions. The highest plant height, trunk girth and plant spread (EW and NS) were registered by application of 125 per cent RDF as WSF through fertigation.
