Brown leaf spot of paddy incited by Helminthosporium oryzae is an economically important disease affecting rice production. The disease is currently managed only by the excessive application of chemical fungicides which are toxic and not environmentally friendly. Bio-pesticides can reduce the use of chemicals. In the present investigation, foliar spray with T. viride (10g/l) proved to be most effective against Helminthosporium oryzae, showing minimum disease severity (23.13%) and producing maximum shoot length (83.13cm), number of tillers (19.33) and yield (44.57q/h) followed by foliar spray with T. viride (8 g/l). Three sprays of T. viride and P. fluorescens were found effective in reducing the disease severity as well as increasing the yield.
