Chloride dominated salinity was more toxic as compared to sulphate. Sprouting was delayed by almost 8 days at 8.0 dS/m ECe as compared tocontrol. Phosphorous application of 60 or 120 mg/Kg under non – saline and in lower levels of 2 and 4 dS/m of salinity proved beneficial in most of the parameters studied in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.). The interaction effect among plant height, fresh weight and yield of tuber and that of salinity and P levels were significant.
