Abstract

Infection in begining was typically in the form of yellowing of lower leaves. Roots of diseased plants showed brownish to blackish lesions. Internal brown discolouration of root tissues was also observed. In vitro seed inoculation of pea with test fungus (Fusarium solani f.sp. pisi) resulted in a significant decrease in germination (28.18%) over check. Plumule length (24.60 mm) and radicle length (21.20 mm) were also found to be reduced to a great extent.
