Abstract

The seasonal incidence data on carnation indicated that mite population was started from 9th SMW (0.45 mite/plant) and there was a gradual increase in population and reach its peak during 27th SMW (34.51/plant) (Standard Meteorological Week). Mite population was fluctuated from 0.45 to 34.51 per plant during October 2008 to September 2009. Correlation studies between weather parameter and T. urticae revealed that the mobile stages of mite had highly significant positive correlation with maximum temperature (r= 0.76177) and minimum temperature (r= 0.35665) whereas, morning and evening relative humidity (RH) had exhibited significant negative correlation with mite population were r= -0.76923 and r= -0.45777, respectively
