Abstract

The study assessed the trend in jowar production and is impact on fodder security using primary and secondary data. The results indicated negative trend for area and positive trend for productivity. Since, production is area led or productivity led; the resulting deceleration in production is attributed to declining area superseding the positive effect of productivity on production. The declining trend in jowar production imminently halters fodder security and calls for immediate solution.
