Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cumini is a serious disease of cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.). Isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cumini were isolated from major cumin growing districts of Gujarat state, India. The cultural characteristics of 10 isolates of F. oxysporum f. sp. cumini revealed that isolates differedin colony colour, colony type, growth habit, pigmentation and sporulation. Out of 20 RAPD primers screened, 15 primers amplified a total of 87 bands/alleles in which 83 bands were polymorphic. Among these, 67 bands were shared between at least two individuals and 16 bands were unique. These primers grouped majority of the isolates based on their geographical location. The RAPD analysis does not show correlation between phylogenetic groupings and cultural characteristics.
